The Diamondback Overdrive 29’er Mountain Bike is a must have for anyone who takes a bike through the roughest terrains.
With SRAM S-4 shifting options, 24 different gears and 29-inch WTB Prowler SL tires any debris or curbs that could get in the way of your bike ride are no longer noticed with the features available on this bike.
For quick and accurate stopping, the Tektro Novela disc brakes offer a smooth and quick stop on any surface. This bike will still give you a workout while you hit the trails, but will make the ride much smoother and comfortable no matter how far the traveling is.

With features like the ones listed above, as well as many more, there’s no surprise as to why reviewers have given the Diamondback Overdrive 29’er Mountain Bike an overall review rating of 4.5 stars and no consumer review rating were rated below 3 stars.
Reviewers were pleased with their purchase and while it was rated almost 5 stars there were a few minor complaints, but didn’t diminish the overall happiness of the consumer or the reviews given.
The Tekro Novela mechanical disc brakes were the most often praised saying that after a couple miles of breaking in the bike, the brakes were smooth without sticking.
One reviewer stated that while biking with his dog a child darted out in front of him and the Diamondback not only stopped abruptly and smooth, but also left plenty of room in between him and the child.
Reviewers also said the tires were a much needed accessory to anyone who is a hard biker; especially in a non-paved environment. The traction works well without slipping and because of the traction; it is easier to maintain a decent speed in any condition.
While the Diamondback Overdrive 29’er Mountain Bike is an overall great bike, there were a few issues that most reviewers wished were different.
The biggest complaint overall was the weight of the bike, as the Diamondback is much heavier than other bikes on the market.
This; however, didn’t keep reviewers from giving a lower rating. Another complaint made by some reviewers were that although this bike is very capable of riding over almost anything that may lay in your path, tires wear out very fast for serious bikers; much sooner than other tires and are expensive to replace at 50 dollars a tire.
Even though there are a few minor complaints, all in all, the Diamondback Overdrive 29’er Mountain Bike is a good choice for serious bike riders.
Both on road and off road this is definitely a bike that will get one from point A to point B; providing a smooth and quick ride.
